APPAF is a membership organization that seeks the involvement in, and support of its mission, by the American masses through membership contributions, individuals’ and chapters' activities throughout the United States and by fostering public support throughout the United States for an American voice for Palestine in Washington, D.C.

The American Palestine Public Affairs Forum, APPAF is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian public American voice that calls for nonviolent political settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

APPAF’s affairs are governed by its elected Board of Directors, its Executive Committee, and its appointed officers in compliance with its registered Articles of Incorporation, the IRS laws for Tax-exemption under 501 (C) 3 of the IRS Code, and in accordance with its adopted Bylaws.

APPAF is irrevocably dedicated to and is organized and operated exclusively for nonprofit purposes. The Forum is a membership organization, and shall receive membership dues and contributions, and shall distribute its funds for the purposes set forth in its articles of incorporation.

In carrying out its corporate purposes, APPAF shall have all the powers allowed to similar organizations by the District of Columbia Corporation Acts.

APPAF shall have local chapters, which may be formed by any group of individuals committed to sponsoring and promoting the mission and objectives of the Forum in compliance with APPAF’s Bylaws, and instructions provided by its National Board of Directors.

Chapters of the American Palestine Public Affairs Forum serve the Forum’s mission and objectives through a local presence in the communities, focus on local and national issues and developments that deal with the official US-UN position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and how they constructively or adversely influence a just an equitable solution to the conflict within United Nations Resolution UN -194 and UNSCR 242 and  338; our vital American interests in the Middle East and those of Palestinians and Israelis alike, and what plans of action need to be taken to bring to focus and polarize the American public towards demanding from the US administration, and representatives to commit, leverage and implement, within a set time table, the official US position on the conflict and the US plans of establishing a Palestinian State side by side with Israel in compliance with United Nations Resolution UN -194 and UNSCR 242 and  338.

Every chapter shall comply, promote, and work towards implementing the mission and objectives of the Forum. Local chapters are the primary means by which the Forum, through a large body of enlisted members and their contributions seeks to achieve its purpose.

They provide a strong means for raising American public awareness, and for development of future generations that can commit to adopt and pursue the proper means to protect our vital interests in the Middle East, and for upholding our ideals and principles as proclaimed in our Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Members shall do that through addressing the US administration to commit, leverage and implement within a set time table, the official US policy towards a just equitable solution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Chapters may be established on a non-exclusive basis to cater to the needs of any specific, cohesive community of interest.

Generally this will be a regional community, within national boundaries. Where a significant overlap of the defined communities arises from the proposed creation of a new chapter, a compelling reason must exist for such a redundancy. This does not preclude formation of city/state/department chapters where a chapter extends to national borders.
